So far, we've lost power 3 days in a row:  Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  We're not exactly sure what's going on, but we always get it back some time in the afternoon, so we're not too worried.  It was a little annoying yesterday because the cleaning lady wasn't able to do laundry, so I'm running out of clothes.  I would wash my clothes by hand in the sink myself in this situation, but she had locked our clothes up in the laundry room so they were unaccessable to me.  She was really nice today and did all the laundry by hand today because we had no electricity again, so I will have clothes tommorow.  Yay!

Last night I watched "The Notebook", which was actually a pretty decent movie.  I told earl, and he called it a chick flick.  I'm not so sure that that is the way I'd classify it, because I consider chick flicks to be things like "27 Dressess" which have a little more humor and a little less… story to them.  This was definatly a romance, but it had some substance to it.  I would consider it more of a romanitc drama.  If that makes it a chick flick, then I guess I need to re-define my movie generes.

A bunch of the girls here have movies, which is what I've been watching.  I think I'm going to start watching some of them to kill some time.  I've gotten to a point where there really is no more work that I can do for class.  We only had the one paper, and we're at a point where we're no longer being given readings.  I also only brought 2 books with me, and I read the first on the plane.  It's a series that my brother gave me for christmas, and  it's pretty good.  It's been really hard not to pick up the second book, but I really want to save that for the plane ride home.  I also picked up a magazine on my way here, but I've already finished it.

I do have some work that I could be doing on Professor Bovy's website, and I still need to finish (or really, begin) editing the film from last summer.  I've been doing little bits and pieces here and there, but its hard to get into the mode of working right now.  I'd rather be doing something entirely for relaxation.  Also, I figure that since I've got the entire month, I can do work for like 2 hours a day and get everything done pretty quickly as well as get everything done at home that I need to.  I'll also have more resources at my hands to do the work then, like my email and notes from my meetings with professor Bovy.

It's too hot in the middle of the afternoon to do much of everything, and I don't particularly care to go out and get drunk at night like some of the other girls.  So, I've been entertaining myself by writing this.  I've also been watching all of the extra features with the movies I've been watching.

I've had a really great time here, but I have to admit that I'm ready to go home now.  I miss the people at home, and I really like the convenience of the internet.  Not because I like to go on and find things to do on the internet, but because it's really become an integral part of my work and study.  The paper that I wrote would have been so much better if I had some way to check and add to my fact database, but I'm stuck with whatever I was able to write down during lectures, which isn't always accurate because I don't really know all of the names through the professors accents.  That, and since classes are really winding down here, I'm finding myself with a lot of spare time and very little options of what to do with it.

Well, I'll be home soon, and there are still a few things we might do with the class.  We might yet get to go to Mt. Olympus, but I have a feeling that if we don't go tommorow, we'll have yet another day off.  Thursday is just meeting with the mayor of Katerini, which will be interesting but I doubt will occupy a large portion of the day.  Firday will be moslty travel: a 5 hour bus ride to Athens, and then we get to see the new museum with Professor Pandermalis.  That night we'll do Plaka and I'll be able to find the rest of the souvineers we want, and then Saturday I'll go home!  It feels so close, yet so far.

Well, I'll be seeing you all real soon, so stay well untill at least then!
