One of my classmates is writing a "rather theory-laden paper on transgender and/or trans-sexuality, and was looking for a grounding point in lived lives"
He already read Jamison Green's book, Becoming an Invisible Man (because it was my course reading), and he found it lacking a bit of self-awareness in his process (though it's possible my classmate just didn't like Green, he said). He's looking for othertestaments to trans-life journeys, perhaps even poetic or artistic ones, in which people expressed themselves differently.
I've suggested She's Not There, by Jenny Finney Boylan, and Butch is A Noun by Bear, but I'm wondering if y'all have any other suggestions for him.
