Under the Wire
So, having publicly announced that I'm going to try and post one thing per day, here I am, with 10 minutes left in my day, posting.
I am operating in something approaching whiplash mode just now, with decisions being made and remade as circumstances change. Some stuff is trivial; some stuff is not. But it is all stuff.
Whiplash mode has the virtue of getting things done. It has the flaw of getting only the most urgent thing done, regardless of real importance. And so often the decision is driven not by what I need or what Motorcycle Boy needs or what the House of Us need, but what someone/something *completely outside of the House of Us* needs or wants or demands.
Which is teh suck.
But we saw friends tonight, and watched Doctor Who, and turned on the heat without burning the place down. So it's still good.
