Start of the Agent of Hel urban fantasy series, featuring a half-demon in a small midwest tourist town. The premise seems a bit sloppy: I can never tell how much people knew or believed about supernatural beings, and the book starts by claiming only the police chief knew what she does for the department, yet everyone local knows who her father is and no one is ever surprised to learn she's the official representative of the Norse goddess who claims authority over the local eldritch community. Still, it's always nice to meet supernaturals who believe in rule of law, even if she does end the book with three boyfriends.
