Hello and welcome! This is my first time participating in Yuletide. And I'm super geeked about receiving your wonderful gift! I like to think that I'm pretty easy to please, and I'm sure I will treasure whatever you conjure up for me.
That said, here's some information you may find useful.
General likes:
Slow building romance; well developed, plausible characters with flaws; tropes; friendship fic; amnesia fic; pretending to be a couple that actually leads to being a couple; epistolary fic; meta/fandom fic; alternate universe; humor/crack; holiday-themed fic; the morning after; texting/social media; cuddling; cases of mistaken identity; awkward sex; first times; witty banter; pirates; magic realism.
General dislikes:
Incest; character bashing; misogyny; homophobia; mpregnancy; rape; noncon/dubcon; character death; BDSM; supernatural themes - werewolves, vampires, zombies, etc.
And now, without further ado, on to the requests. Take as much or as little from them as you like. Honestly, I'm game for anything as long as you don't hit any of my squicks.
THE IT CROWD
Characters: Roy Trenneman, Maurice Moss, Jen Barber, Douglas Reynholm
This show. Just. I mean. This show! I love the dynamic between Roy and Moss, so please make that front and center. Ideally, I'd love to read a Roy/Moss getting-together fic. I would be especially partial to them waking up in bed together after a long night of drinking, and having to deal with an awkward morning after-not to mention a smug Jen. But if that's not your thing, that's cool; I'm very fond of friendship fic! Other things I like include crazy office hijinks, Moss' mother, Jen's tragicomic love life and all things Douglas.
THE VOICE RPF
Characters: Cee Lo Green
I got sucked into this show last season at a friend's house, mainly because of the bromance between Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. But I've found myself so, so charmed by Cee Lo Green. I'd love to read a-day-in-the-life fic about him, perhaps even excerpts from his blog/journal. I'd love to see increasingly exotic animals as accessories, as well as mention of his outrageous outfits and wigs. I'd love to see him chilling with Rob Thomas after their coaching sessions. Does he play matchmaker for his co-hosts (Adam/Blake or Adam/Christina)? If so, please make sure the story is still focused on Cee Lo. Have I mentioned I adore crack? Basically, I want this fic to make me laugh.
30 ROCK
Characters: Liz Lemon, Wesley Snipes
It is one of my dearest wishes for the writers to work in Future Husband's, er... Wesley Snipes', return before the show wraps. But just in case they don't, benevolent Yuletide writer, could you make that happen for me? Ideally, I'd love to see Liz change her mind about Wesley and how that shakes out in present canon; she's changed quite a bit since then, so it's not unreasonable to presume that he has too. I love Liz grappling with her sexual hang-ups (AWKWARD SEX FTW-but please no PWP). Other things that would be fun to read: Jack Donaghy being Jack Donaghy (with a splash of Jonathan on the side), Tracy Jordan shenanigans (especially those aided and abetted by Grizz and Dotcom), ensemble dynamics, biting satire, bagging on NBC and, last but not least, Kenneth. Oh, and Dennis!
I can't wait to see what you work up, Yuletide author! Really, I'm game for pretty much anything as long as you avoid the things I've mentioned among my general dislikes. And thank you so much for writing me a fic, I'm sure I'll love whatever you write!
