Berry Season

I found a monitor to use temporarily. My eyes and head much appreciate it.

Berry season has arrived at my house. I have three big blueberry bushes, and one of them has ripe berries all over it... the other two are still green, but should be ready soon. My raspberry bushes are thick and heavy, and the berries are delicious, although some of them fall apart as soon as they're picked. More exciting to me, some of my new berry bushes are giving me a small harvast... I have goumi berries and honeyberries. The goumis are small, red, and nicely tart. The honeyberries look like a flat blueberry, but are much more sweet and tart. In any case, they're all delicious. I love berry season. I'm also indulging myself by hiring my landscaper to come over and catch up on my weeding that's gotten a little out of control over the past few weeks. Now I just need to stop by Uncle Paul's and buy a few pints of Oregon strawberries. Italy was great, but I really did hate leaving Portland for a week during the short Oregon strawberry season.
