Vacation from My Vacation
We spent four sunny days in San Diego and visited three different brewpub/breweries: Coronado Brewing Company, Pizza Port Brewing Company, and Stone Brewing Company. Both the food and the beer got better with each one we visited. Portland may be Beervana, but Stone pretty much blows anything we have away with its amazing beer selection (including beers it doesn't make), and the even more amazing food. Mmmmm.. (I console myself with the reminder that only Portland has Pix Patisserie.)
We also had a number of family get togethers with the in laws and their visiting six children (the official purpose of the trip): three infants, one spastic two year old with no verbal skills beyond incoherent screaming, and a couple of 4-5 year olds. Chaos ensued Best birth control ever. Best decision ever: Staying with Aaron's sister, Kathy, in her quiet apartment on Coronado Island with zero children.
