Yay for Graphical nerdism!

No, I didn't draw a picture, that'd be a little over the top.

But in my grubby paws, I now have my full version of Coreldraw 12, and I'm pretty durn chuffed!  I know I had been procrastinating a long time about getting a copy, which might imply that even though I use the program every day at work, I might've been using it at home, too.  Or something something...

Of course, I'm still stuck on a version at work that is 5 years old now, and even though having had the requisition approved in January, still don't have a new copy on my work PC.  I once again brought this up at work and they wanted me to once again get them a price quote on Coreldraw.

Well, a quick hop to Corel's website shows that they're having a special offer where you can pick up the full version of the program for the price of an upgrade!  Yeah, I know there is probably a new version due out shortly or some-such, but it's not like 12 will instantly quit working when it does!

Having the price go from the regular $529.00CAD to $249.00CAD was enough incentive to order a copy.  And wow... somebody was paying attention and actually put a spiral binding on the font / clip-art book, too!  Who would've thunk it?!

Of course, not everything went as smoothly as the ordering.  Percolator tried to delivery the package on Tuesday... shockingly fast, considering I ordered on the Friday evening and chose the sup ah-cheap shipping method!  I wasn't home so they took it back to their sorting facility and left a message that the next day I could pick it up at Polo Park.  Today after a not-the-best day at work I hopped in my car and winged my way through traffic to Polo Park.

"Oh, we're sorry... they accidentally dropped your package off at the Pembina Highway facility."  Ah yes, the one that is half a city away from where I currently am.  Oh, and 3 blocks from where I work.  ARGH!  I decided to bite the bullet and just do the drive out while I was at it.

Pick-up success!

And to maximise the trip I went grocery shopping on the way back.  Of course, not planning for all this driving I forgot my list... so went from memory.  Somehow I ended up spending $50, where I'm certain my list only had 4 things on it.  And uhm... yeah... I still forgot to buy 2 of the things I had listed!

I really want to try atara 's orgasm chicken recipe but it just don't work it you don't get the soups.  Which, of course, me being the real dork didn't clue in when I actually consciously bought chicken breasts while at Price Choppers.

Brains.  They're amazing.  In so many different ways.

At least I was quite placated by going for supper and coffee with x_phobos_x before he migrates west on Friday.  MMmmm... Delicious Vegetarian is a pretty tasty stop on Pembina Highway!

courier, vegetarian, coreldraw, delicious
