Yesterday Amanda and I took a wander over to
Dingo's to try out some of that new-fangled hot dog action.
They had an interesting set-up where you could order combos of 4" dogs or individual 8" dogs. Since the 4" dogs are smaller than normal that lets you try different types instead of committing yourself to one flavour.
Amanda and I both got the 2-dog combo, me with a Canadian dog (chili, cheese, and Old Dutch potato chips) and a Reuben dog (sauer kraut and dressing), she with a Canadian and the Coleslaw Millionaire (coleslaw and "secret sauce"), shared an order of fries, and also each had a bottle of
Pic-A-Pop. I have to say my initial impression is quite good. The dogs were tasty... the Canadian almost being a bit of a let-down, but then I considered it my "safety dog", and the place was nice and clean (especially considering how messy the dogs can be, as I proved). Ohyeah, and they have very good fries, too.
Next time I think I'll be a bit more adventurous, though I still don't think I'll tackle the Peanut Butter and Jelly dog any time soon.
