Operationg cheap-toilet is complete!

First off, I want to thank a still-sick Amanda for making it out of bed early enough so that we could get to McDiarmid Lumber for their 7am opening.

Despite our best intentions, McDiarmid had already sold out of all the good dual-flush low-flow toilets because everyone wanted to get in on the government-rebate action.  The good part of it all is that you could get a raincheck, and if paid for today you could still get the government refund of $50 per toilet.

So, in the end we ended up getting a rain check for the two toilets, and with the rebate and taxes the whole thing came to $208.58.  Not a bad deal, I say!  We needed one toilet for certain, and figure the other can either be used to replace the upstairs one of we can sell it to one of the family/friends in that doesn't work out.

Since basement renovations are a bit behind, not having to store the toilet is just sort've an added bonus.

I'm flush with excitement!
