So this morning the SEARS service man came over to look at my non-functional (and less than a year old) dryer. It did indeed require a replacement motor, which means it is a factory defect and in the end costs me nothing.
I finished up some work-art that I was doing and uploaded it to our pfiles server, got my lunch together and headed out.
About as far as the garage.
Where the car battery was dead. Again.
Since CAA was just here on Sunday and said the battery and electrical system seem perfectly fine, I'm taking the CAA agent's advice. He told me that instead of putting the charger on it, I leave the battery in a dead state and give them a call. Apparently having a fully charged battery can sometimes mask problems with the battery itself, so by leaving it in the toastered state we'll see if this works out.
Hopefully it is just the battery, and if so that'll also be a warranty replacement.
I guess I'll have an early lunch!
