It must be the day of finding things.
As I had mentioned in a previous journal entry, my neighbour is intent on cutting down some of the trees on the border of our properties.
Well, being the week-end and all I figured I'd have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for when the city offices are open... but then it dawned on me. Somewhere in my notes for the house purchase I have surveying diagrams.
Lo-and-behold my filing system didn't let me down this time and I found it! Hooray, hooray!
Taking my trusty tape measure with me I made a measurement from the west foundation of my house toward the neighbouring property... a distance listed as 11'.5. Well, much to my satisfaction the trees are in-fact on my property.
Including the lilac bushes that they've already cut down to a stumps.
Time to photocopy the survey report and have a talk with the owner.
