Well, hello LJ, and all you many people! All I can say, it's about time that I did this thing.
A little about myself...but of course, probably the only people that will read this are people that know me already...so...here is a repeat of what you so well know.
I am Jeremy, I live in Nashville, Tennessee. I am from Alabama, and I moved to Nashville almost six years ago to go to Free Will Baptist Bible College. There I majored in youth ministry, I stayed for two years, before being placed on academic suspension (wierd, wacky grade system combined with me having to work 35-50 hours a week to keep myself in school.) After that, I just bummed around, living in a total of three apartments/houses until I purchased my first home in Jan of '03. I got married the next month to my wonderful "EM." We have been here in this house ever since, enjoying the blessings and pitfalls of homeowners.
About my work situation...
Started my first job ever on 8/04/97, working two jobs...The Tuscaloosa Shopper, and Papa John's Pizza. From the Tuscaloosa Shopper, I learned more about how to be a member of civilized society, as I didn't have too much civilization growing up. From Papa John's, I learned stress management, customer care, and how to work hard. I also learned, mostly from PJ's, and a little bit from TTS, about the importance of teamwork, and that it was my responsibility to do as much work as possible, so things got done. When I moved in 98 to Nashville, I kept my PJ position, just transferred. I learned a LOT more about personal integrity, hard work, and team work, as I worked in one of the busiest stores in the US. I was a manager there, and for a portion of my 2nd year there, I shared the store management duties. Joy Joy. However, I did learn a LOT!.
On 8/10/2000, I went to work for RadioShack, where I learned about many other things, about profit and loss, about how to sell, about being suave. I have been there for almost four years now. I have been a salesperson, an assistant manager, a store manager, and now I am a sales associate. I stepped down from the management position, and I am so much happier as a result. Do you know that as a salesman, I work only 32-35 hours a week, and I make almost as much, if not sometimes more, than I did as a store manager working 60-70 hours a week? Just makes you go hmmm, doesn't it?
About me..and my personality....well..since there really is nothing to say, I won't...haha..just kidding..
I'll say more later. I have some big dreams....good ministry ideas..stuff I want to do before the Good Lord calls me home.
Jeremy
