Jumping on the meme bandwagon!

Jan 03, 2008 13:13

Everyone else seem's to have done one at some point so I wanted to join the club lol.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?  Looked after someone else's kids by myself for 2wks, scared the crap out of me.

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?  I can't remember what my resolution was anymore so I'm going to answer no to the first question, for this coming year (2008) my resolution is to make the best of every situation and keep pushing forward. No giving up or letting stress take over.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?  Not close to me no.

4. Did anyone close to you die?  Thankfully not , quite a few close calls.

5. What countries did you visit?  America (where I study), UK (where I'm from) and Tunisia.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?  Money of my own, being on a student visa prevents me from getting a good job and the money I want to help support myself until I graduate. Also a permanent job and contract with a studio but that's more dreaming.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?  10/11/07 - I got a call telling me my dad had been rushed to hospital and had to call and break the news to my mum in the middle of the night. SN's episode that night did a hell of a lot to take my mind off it and calm me down.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Surviving through college without letting anxiety attacks get the better of me

9. What was your biggest failure? If there was one then I'd say not earning as much money as I planned to during the summer.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?  Nope because I got my tonsils removed and it made a world of difference, unless you count the flu I suppose, but that wasn't major after the first couple of days thankfully.

11. What was the best thing you bought?  Plane tickets to see my dad.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?  Just friends around me, some people just don't realise the difference they can make

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?  A parent of the kids I looked after.

14. Where did most of your money go?  Living expenses, blegh, there are temptations to join Peter Pan.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?  Performing HSM at the Kodak Theater on Hollywood Blvd. Might not be the most credible amongst the peers but it was a hell of an adrenaline rush and good fun, unfortunately the songs haunt your memories for ages after.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?  Highway to Hell stands out the most, also brings me pride that I got my roommate converted into a big SN fan.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?  Sadder but I've grown more
ii. thinner or fatter?  The same.
iii. richer or poorer?  I think poorer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?  Working (but in the jobs I want! lol)

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?  Building things up in my head

20. How will you be spending Christmas?  Uh well last christmas ('07) was with my family and hopefully this one will be the same because it's the one time I'm home ever year.

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?  No.

23. How many one-night stands?  none

24. What was your favorite TV program?  Supernatural

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?  Nah though there's a few that surprised me with how irritating they are.

26. What was the best book you read? I'm ashamed to say I don't have a good answer for this one, so much has been spent reading plays. Though if I had a favorite of those recently I'd say The Norman Conquests are hilarious especially Table Manners.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?  I think his name is Jon McLaughlin, my friend plays his stuff in the car in the mornings and it soothes me.

28. What did you want and get?  Contacts for my job and even more enthusiasm for what I'm doing, it reassured me a lot that I hadn't made the biggest mistake by moving.

29. What did you want and not get?  A guy to end 2007 and start 2008 with but it's okay, we'll aim for that again.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?  Oh so many good ones but Death At A Funeral had me cracking up.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?  Went to Micelli's in Hollywood with some great friends, had italian and sang along (the servers perform musical numbers throughout the night). I was 21 woo hoo. Might have meant more if I drank more alcohol.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?  If I was performing every day and getting paid for it rather than working on individual scenes or plays just for a few weeks.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?  My fashion concept? Haha. Probably casual primarily for rehearsal and training purposes then being lazy at home.

34. What kept you sane?  Whitney and Supernatural. Never thought I'd name a show there but it was an hour per week where I knew I could just sit and relax.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?  J2, primarily Jensen...it kept switching between them. And Gerard Butler, I met him just as 300 came out and he might not look exactly like the picture but man did that guy still have the stomach muscles, yummmm.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?  There were several.

37. Who did you miss?  The obvious is my family but the missing my friends from London was a lot stronger than I expected.

38. Who was the best new person you met?  Whitney, friend and angel of my life.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:  You're stronger than you think.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:  Dammit the last question and I just don't know! I'll come back..

this amused me for a good half hour anyway!
