*hugs* You could always post at Phoenix Song.

I've had some crazy reviews at SIYE as well. But I didn't quit SIYE because of reviews - it was because the admins asked me tone down a chapter six months after it had been posted because someone else wanted to include a sex scene in their story and used my very nice, tasteful *love* scene as an example of pushing the boundries.

Anyway, Harry and Luna did go out on a "date" in HBP, so I don't know what the problem is. I could see them hanging out together - especially if poor Harry was at loose ends. Luna is sweet like that and Harry is so clueless that it makes sense even in AU world.

The beta process at Phoenix Song did my head in. I had an odd beta who didn't do a damn thing (didn't actually give feedback or the like) and never answered me. Drove me nuts, I stopped posting there as well due to the posting process. I find SIYE easy to use and since I got validated it's even easier. I used to find the readership just fine as well but I think someone let the crazies out this year ...

I think that story's dead in the water now anyway. The muse has either flown, died or buried herself.

Um...you do know an admin at PS who would be more than happy to help, if that's where you decide to go. (Seriously, you can just go through me, if you want. I know you still have to wait for me to upload/post it there, but it normally won't take too long.)

ff.net is a bit of a pain, but it's not horrible once you get used to it.

And if you cross-post when you post on LJ, you get more readers. There are a bunch of communities where you can post links to your fics as you write them.

(I just really don't want you to stop writing, Kezza. You're one of my favorites--your humor is always just what I love to read.)

I posted the entirety of RL at ff.net. It still did my head in! I gave up about 3 chapters into I'll Be There For You. It got too much.

I did give PS a try but I didn't feel like I fit there either. I probably just don't fit anywhere. I thought i fit at SIYE but now it feels like I don't fit.

Is that weird?

I think I'm weird ...

LJ has finally let me back in ...

I do want to finish, it I'm not throwing a tanty and refusing to finish it. I've just been thrown off by the reviews. Rest assured, if I can finish it, you get to read it first.

If you want to go the LJ route, you can crosspost links to hg_silverlining and harry_and_ginny (and I'm sure there are more), and you can also let the editors at hpgw_otp (weekly H/G newsletter) and obhwf_weekly (weekly Weasley Family newsletter) that you'll be posting fic (either here or, if you want to go that way, on a fic journal). They'll watch your journal and include links to your fic every time you update. (This is a great way to get some exposure--lots of people read those two newsletters.)

I'd really hate to see you stop writing altogether because of a few people. (I DO get the feeling about your muse being, at the very least, uncooperative because of this. I hope you find her again. Would filing this one away for a bit and working on something else help, maybe?)

Yeah, so catchmysnitch is a totally awesome place to post, too. :D

(Have I spammed this post enough yet? :P)

I had a prompt inspiration, I wanted to share - I'm trepidatious about fitting in there, however.
