Daniel Graystone with an idea is like a dog with a bone. He’s a heat-seeking missile. He takes no prisoners; he’s got a scorched-Earth policy. There is only one force in the universe that can stand in his way: a petulant teenaged girl.

Cut to Daniel’s lab. WHY IS THE DOG NAMED CAESAR? Whatever.
Man, I do find that Daniel Graystone has a resolute nature. Now he’s implying that he’s going to order the U87 to shoot the dog and he hopes Zoe won’t do it. Thereby he’ll know, and she’ll know he knows, and he’ll know she knows he knows..
The Foyer.

What kind of warped mind does that to someone you suspect is your daughter? The fire was bad enough, but Ceasar was disturbing. I don't care if there were blanks in the gun -- he didn't think Zoe knew that, and he was trying to make her do it anyway.
I will now shudder everytime Daniel comes on screen, because he is a crazy ass mad scientist at this point.
She says if they had been live rounds, she would have shot Daniel.
And I would have cheered!

Her robot body could tell that the bullets were blanks.
That is exactly when I started to like her. When I thought she shot Ceasar I was mortified, only to find out she only made that decision because she knew they were blanks. If there were live rounds in the gun, I don't think she could have done it. Because she loves her dog.*
*Obviously, threatening the life of a dog got to me. Says the woman whose two dogs are currently laying on various couches, and are each overweight from the overfeeding of dog treats.
