I will be opening a thread for the Pilot tomorrow and will let you know here when I do.

Now that the housekeeping is out of the way, for those of you who decided to spend the extra money on the Tenth Anniversary edition DVDs, which of the special features are you the most pleased with?

As much as I love having the gag reel, I actually loved being able to see the promos, which were almost as clever as the show.

The first season gag reel was rather wonderful - shall we ever know why Peter Krause was wearing tights and bunny ears? - but what I actually found most interesting was the background stuff from Aaron Sorkin and Tommy Schlamme, whose memories of the show were evidently quite clear and specific. It was lovely to have the actors' commentaries, and I'd've liked to have had even more, but it was pretty obvious that they didn't remember a lot about the show - other than, as Josh Malina mused wistfully, the regular paycheque.

Other characters start to eradicate the traces of the characters that came before, especially if you think you're never going to revisit that character again. I remember how Callum Blue said he was surprised how easy it was to slip back into his Mason from Dead Like Me after five years. The Sports Night cast didn't even have the advantage of trying to become their characters after all that time. They just had to dresge up a lot of old memories ( ... )
