Le retour.

Well, yeah. It's back.

I'm really glad I didn't waste my time studying for today's final.

And just like that, after an hour or so of writing, my year at Sciences Po came to a close. I met Steph outside afterwards and asked her how she was dealing with Chad's departure. We went to her apartment and saw her brother and mom before I métroed home.

It took me until I was on the 13 to finally crack a smile and celebrate (not much of a celebration, I know) the end of the year. The fact that it's sunny and (a little too) hot makes being on vacation seem natural, although I haven't decided what I'm going to do with myself now that I don't have to spend hours at that school.

One thing I do know, however, is that Xavier and I leave Thursday morning to go to Bordeaux. Let's hope I don't have to spend much money.

Oh, and Chad leaving last night was a blatant reminder that this has to come to an end. He gave a toast that succeeded in tugging a few tears from Steph's eyes, and when we parted ways after our last (and that might be a good thing) night at Frog, I didn't really know what to do when Isabelle turned into a complete wreck on the sidewalk. She latched onto Chad like a sobbing barnacle, and I ducked into the nearest cab in order to avoid witnessing a scene that, in spite of taking place in the middle of Rue du Four, wasn't meant for me to see.

I almost called him to see what he was up to tonight.
