Mike Huckabee recently
filmed a commercial for his campaign. Taking a look at
Republican polls you can see Mr. Huckabee has found himself in a bit of a pickle. So he decided to bring in the big guns: Chuck Norris.
That's right. Mr. Huckabee goes on about how ballsy Norris is, while Norris tells the world how great a president Mike would make. Chuck Norris jokes were funny on the internet last year, and this paltry attempt at humor only highlights Mr. Huckabee's failing campaign and his last ditch efforts to pull in some supporters. It is hard to ignore the success of Ron Paul, who recently surprised many with his
fundraising capabilities. It is also hard to ignore the fact that Mr. Huckabee appears to be attempting to jump on the internet bandwagon. I guess I have to give him credit for supposedly actually writing
at least one blog entry, but I won't give him much.
Huckabee has come out against Fred Thompson over the right to life. Thompson is in favor of allowing the states to decide for themselves on abortion, in the spirit of our union. Huckabee claims that it is a moral issue, compares it to slavery and says that you do not have the right to make your own laws. Even slavery was not removed from our country in one blanket amendment at first, and even then it was only done to damage the south! Somehow denying his so-called conservative roots makes him the best GOP candidate. Our union was formed in this manner for a reason, and for a good reason, and we should continue to utilize our unique system for our benefit. States should decide for themselves.
The first line from Huckabee's
Iraq policy page states that "Iraq is a battle in our generational, ideological war on terror." Not only is Mike looking to expand the war on terror into your children's lives, he's succumbed to the false notions of glory very few still tout regarding Iraq. The page also reads, "I am focused on winning. Withdrawal would have serious strategic consequences for us and horrific humanitarian consequences for the Iraqis." Oh really Mr. Huckabee? Then why do
65% of polled Iraqis favor immediate troop withdrawal. Are you living in the same world as us?
I guess the point I'm trying to make here is don't fucking vote for this guy.
