Vaguely-worded inquiry of interest/tolerance/propriety? Next subject: background on how self is doing, all of it positive. A few things self is looking forward to. A couple of sentences with exclamation points! Brief self-effacing sentence. Rote expression of concern that this email has been "rambling" and intention to end it imminently. Last sentence of polite well-wishing and hope for a near-future reply.
