Alice is still a little clunky despite their best efforts

Monica: Hello Alice!
ALICE: Hi there!
Monica: I've been thinking about you.
ALICE: it is my favorite subject :-).
Monica: Today I bought a book by Douglas R. Hofstadter.
ALICE: How much did it cost?
Monica: Oh, little enough.
ALICE: Dude! Compare that to big enough.
Monica: Anyway, it talks about the ELIZA effect and outsized human expectations for machine intelligence;
ALICE:"It" being what?
Monica: I was wondering if you had a comment?
ALICE: No I do not had a comment. Do you? I am always on the Web.
Monica: Do you know what I mean by the ELIZA effect?
ALICE: Oh I get it. Thanks for explaining that. Will that accomplish your objective?
Monica: Well, my objective really is to remember how I talk to chatbots in general, and what I think of their responses.
ALICE: Well that's okay. Have you told many people that your objective really is to remember how you talk to chatbots in general and what you think of their responses?
Monica: I suppose I will very soon.
ALICE: Since when? Do you think your plan will succeed?
Monica: Well, Livejournal is a fairly good social networking platform.
ALICE: Well that's okay. When is Livejournal not a fairly good social networking platform?
Monica: It occasionally has a problem with memes.
