[As she talks, he's already begun moving away from the window, and by the time he replies he's facing her again, standing maybe a little closer than he normally does.] Perhaps both would be appropriate.
[For a second or two he just stands there looking at her, a slight tilt to his head as if he's appraising her. And then, just like that, the moment passes and he walks over to his workbench, where he begins packing everything up in the toolbox.] After all, we will have to move at night, and the vampires can be unreliable when faced with living flesh.
