I've had this idea for awhile, but it's only now I'm actually doing it. I'm one of those people who pay special attention to what movie, show, song, or book they watch or hear just for a good captivating line. And so it begins:
This powerful speech is from the 1982 movie "Wall $treet". I am still on the lookout for a copy of this and have yet to see it in its entirety. But one particular scene I saw was Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas, for which he won an Oscar) giving out his classic, yet still powerful "GREED IS GOOD" speech. Dubbed as the film that shattered the American Dream, it is a definite must-see for me.
The point is ladies and gentlemen that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of it's forms - greed for life, for money, knowledge - has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed - you mark my words - will not only save Teldar Paper but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you.
