Summary: Monday is an iced coffee day.
Light shone through the white silk curtains early that Monday morning. Ugh, Mondays always sucked, but this day seem particularly special. Kat could quite put her finger on it, but she felt that that precise Monday would indeed be a good one.
With a groan, a stretch, and a yawn, she emerged from her bed, with some difficulty considering she somehow had tangled her sheets and comforted around her body and legs. The young woman pulled on the sheets, desperate to free herself from her bedding and ended up falling to the hardwood floor. Maybe today wont be as good as I thought, she thought as she righted herself into a standing position.
A glance to the mirror and she was more than ready to hop back into bed and sleep until Tuesday. Her bleached blonde hair was a total mess, stands of it sticking in all sorts of directions. The bags under her eyes were deep and surely would be noticeable no matter how much make up she used. She rolled her eyes at her horrid morning reflection and with a huff headed to her bathroom to start her morning routine.

And hour and a half later and her appearance was nothing like it was when she woke up that morning. Her hair was cooperating with her, which never happened on any other day of the week. Her eye make up was actually applied correctly, which again was a rare thing. All that was left to do was to pick out an outfit for the day. she wasn't going anywhere special, mostly just job hunting, but appearance was a plus when meeting possible future managers.
It was a warm spring day, the chill of the winter finally melting away with the warm spring sun, so she decided on wearing her peach floral spaghetti strap sundress. It was practically new, since she bought it a year ago and it ended up getting lost in her closet, and she hadn't had a chance to wear it. she slipped on the dress, added a coffee colored, wide belt, a pair of white, strapped, wedged sandals, a few large bangles and her favorite tan sunhat. One more glace at the mirror and a nod of approval to the outfit and she was out of the door.

Maybe wearing those wedged sandals wasn't such a good idea. By noon, she was ready to call it quits and just give up on job hunting all together. She’d visited stores of all kinds; shoe stores, clothing stores, grocery stores, even a few pet stores. But nothing. No one was hiring at the time and she felt like giving up hope.
On her way home she spotted her favorite coffee shop and decided to splurge just a bit. The smell of fresh baked goods and newly brewed coffee assaulted her nostrils as she breathed in deeply, savoring the smell. Feeling a tad bit better, she approached the counter and almost stopped breathing as the barista’s face came into view.
Gorgeous wasn't an adjective good enough to describe the male staring back at her, large puppy like orbs, round and wide staring back at her, then turning to crescents as he smiled and spoke.
“Can I help you?” He asked and his voice was so melodic and deep. She figured he could possibly be a singer just by the way he spoke to her. “Excuse me? Miss?” He asked once again, bringing Kat out of her trance and back to reality.
“Oh, uh, yeah. One iced coffee please.” She said with a surprisingly steady voice. She’d expected her voice to crack or something. The boy nodded and accepted her money and made his way to make her drink. He was sloppy so she figured he was new, that and the fact that she’d been coming here forever and had never seen him before. After fumbling with the coffee machines and messing up the drink and having to start all over, he brought it over to her.
There were so many things Kat wanted to say to the puppy-eyed boy. Like, what’s your name? how old are you? are you dating anyone? Can I have your children? But no. instead she bowed, mumbled a thank you and practically ran out of the coffee shop with a tint of pink painted on her cheeks.

Every Monday for the next two months, Kat made it a routine to dress her best and head down to the coffee shop for her weekly dose of caffeine and a certain round eyed male. Like every other Monday, she strutted into the little shop and ordered her drink, paying for it afterward. Like every other Monday, she stayed quiet, watching as the male mixed up the cool caffeinated drink. After making it, he disappeared in the back storage room for a moment and returned just as quickly as he left. He slipped her the drink and Kat accepted it, noticing after she left that there a a piece of paper in her napkin.
Go out with me? - Jonghyun

Kat found herself in the same coffee shot a week later, ordering her routine drink and ignoring the glances Jonghyun shot her. She handed him the money, along with a slip of paper, and Jonghyun opened it, eyes smiling along with his lips as he read it’s contents.
Yes. - Kat

Jonghyun couldn't help but to smile for the rest of the day, happy that he finally grew the balls to ask out the girl he’d been dreaming of since the day she walked in. his coworker noticed his change in moods and nudged him with his elbow.
“I’m guessing you plan on getting laid soon?” The taller man said with a smirk. Jonghyun’s eyes widen to the size of golf balls as he shoved away his perverted friend.
“My God Minho, it’s not like that.” Minho muttered a quiet whatever as he tended to the next customer, leaving Jonghyun to plan the perfect date for the perfect girl.

“Jonghyun stop!” Kat giggled as Jonghyun chased her around the park armed with an armful of freshly fallen leaves. She was fast, but he was fast and had no problem catching up to her and coating her now pink hair with crumpled oranges and browns. After his assault, he ran from her, taking refuge behind the nearby slide. “I swear when I find you I’m breaking up with you!”
Jonghyun snickered and peaked from behind the slide to see where Kat had gone, but couldn't find her. He thought of calling out to her, but didn't want to blow his own cover. He never expected to feel a foot collide with the back of his knee, causing his leg to give out and send his face first into a pile of leaves.
“Had enough?” Kat chuckled, her hands on her hips as she leaned over her fallen boyfriend.
“Fine! I surrender!” He shouted as he saw her foot take position to kick him in the side. “Help me up?” She nodded and reached her hand down to help Jonghyun, but didn't expect him to pull her down on top of him in the pile of crumpled leaves. She shrieked as she fell on top of the male, her face so close to his that she felt his breath on her lips.
“Sometime, I really hate you.” She said with a smirk, obviously not meaning her words. Jonghyun simply smiled and planted a chaste kiss on her lips.
“You don’t.” She rolled her eyes and got off him, walking away and out of the park. “Where are you going?!” He shouted after her.
“It’s Monday. I want an iced coffee.” Jonghyun chucked and caught up to his girlfriend, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close as they walked to the coffee shop.

For Kat. I really hope it doesn't suck.
