Ezio may have assassinated someone in a local city depending how Disney we want to keep this. Maybe he was unoriginal and copied his less Italian counterpart in stealing something. Maybe he did nothing worse than get involved in a bar brawl or pick the wrong pocket and get caught by the city guards.

Whatever he did, he was in Trouble, and definitely needed a place to lie low. What he didn't count on was getting lost in the path through the woods on his horse. With the sun rapidly setting, he needed somewhere to stay overnight where he wouldn't be found and gutted in his sleep.

Like... that conveniently placed tower? After tethering his horse to a tree, Ezio climbed the tower walls with relative ease, then slipped through the open window. Stepping into the room, he looked around warily. Would a tower like this even in the middle of nowhere even be inhabited?

Rapunzel had been amid her usual evening routine - that is, until she heard a noise. The pots and pans were left, and she strained her hearing. Nothing. The original noise had been... faint, and could have been imagined, but... there was no harm in checking, right?

Still, Pascal was given an encouraging place on her shoulder and the nearby frying pan was picked up for good measure. If... if it were ruffians, or thugs, or someone who had come for her, t-then...

Quietly, Rapunzel shuffled around the corner, slipping into a dark nook against the wall, looking over to the window - and just managed to stifle a gasp of shock? Horror? Surprise? She hadn't expected to actually see someone clambering in through the open window!

Mutely, Pascal indicated the pan, and Rapunzel nodded. W-Well, here goes nothing...

Oh, Ezio? By the time you've started looking around, you are about to receive a frying pan to the back of the head.

Even with his keen senses and assassin training, Ezio never saw it coming. The frying pan makes a satisfying dull clang as it cracks him over the head, and the assassin faceplants to the floor. As for being a ruffian or thug? Maybe. He's covered in weapons, especially the broadsword, knife, and throwing daggers at his belt.

Even with the unknown assassin dropping to the floor, the first thing Rapunzel does is hide behind the nearest piece of furniture... and, after a moment, peeping out from behind it. No movement.

"I-It's not moving, is it?" she whispered - looking towards Pascal, but he had already hopped off her shoulder, as he dithered, and was pointing. She looked, and...

Weapons.

The frying pan was immediately out in front of her again, though her eyes were now trained to his obscured face, for any sign of him coming to. "A-A thug? Ruffian?! Mother, what she also said was... the teeth..." she whimpered. She couldn't see his face, where he was lying. "Pascal, what are we going to do? What if he's here for me?"

Ezio stirred from where he'd fallen with an audible groan. He was dazed, his head was swimming and there was an acute throbbing pain on the back of his head. It felt like he'd been hit with a -- well, frying pan.

"Merda..." he cursed under his breath.

Rapunzel yelped as she saw him move, holding out her frying pan once again, stumbling backwards, just avoiding tripping off Pascal and her long, long, long hair. She wasn't close enough to batter him again - and there was no way she was approaching him. He was a thug or a ruffian! And... the teeth! The teeth! Maybe Mother's picture was far from realistic or life like, but her imagination was doing plenty to fill in the blanks.

Naturally, there was only one choice, and she went with it: retreat!

... behind the mirror.

... and her feet were visible.

... oh yeah, and the hair.

She hadn't quite contemplated that part.

Ezio sat up, and while his head was still foggy, he immediately checked he was still fully armed, then looked around for any attackers. He saw none, but he did see the hair -- and the feet. A girl? In a place like this? Well, that wasn't so bad.

"Ciao, bellissima. You can come out. I'm not going to hurt you."

It didn't occur to him she had been the one who knocked him out in the first place. Oops.

A sound that could be translated to a meep escaped Rapunzel's lips, as she shuffled further away at the sound of his voice.

"You're-" A pause at the single word seeped with worry. Then followed by two of curiosity. "... You're not?"

"Not at all. I came across this place by accident." Which was true, more or less. Ezio wasn't one to lie to a lady. He moved to stand, almost staggering right over again he did so, wincing and clutching his head. "Mio dio, that hurt. Did you see who struck me?"

"Accident? That's how you found me?" A soft pause. "You're... telling the truth?" Another pause, this time as she fidgets. Maybe its partly the gullible side setting in that she's quite set to believe it... or maybe not. Rapunzel liked to believe the best in everyone. He's... not hurt her yet, has he?

... she had clobbered him. She winced at the question, before, slowly, appearing from out behind the mirror, frying pan outheld, but not threatiningly. "That... that was me. I'm sorry... no one's... Mother's the only one who comes here."
