Plot: Hitman, number 47, is one of many trained assassins. They don't go into their development much apart from a montage at the beginning of the movie which shows kids training in martial arts. Hitman gets a job to kill the Russian President, and after doing so his company turns on him. He falls in love with a woman, who makes him a kinder man... to an extent. Etc, etc - it's a pretty standard plot, so there's no need to go into it.
Acting: Nothing astounding. I wasn't put off by it, but I wasn't pulled in by it, either.
Action: Some of the fight scenes are pretty cool. They use some choppy hand-held camera work, at times, though. Also, I'm kind of tired of the one super elite assassin is so awesome he can beat multiple super elite assassins trained in the same manner at once thing, though.
Rating: While I didn't feel that this was a complete waste of my 90 minutes, it wasn't anything special, either. If it's on, it's worth watching, but don't go out of your way to make it happen.
Plot: Ricky Bobby is a race car driver who lives by the motto "If you're not first, you're last." He's selfish, and arrogant, and during a race he gets into a horrible accident where he becomes afraid to drive. He goes through a series of comedic situations to regain his will to drive, and races in Talladega to make his return to Nascar.
Review: The comedy is good. It constantly makes fun of NASCAR racing, which I can definitely get behind. Some of the quips are good, and the physical humor is good. It's over the top in a few places, but overall, good. It's very silly, though. Expect no intellectual humor. Normally I prefer wittier humor, but this movie still works because the chemistry between actors is good.
Rating: If you want an hour and a half of mindless comedy that will keep you chuckling, if not laughing out loud, then you should watch this movie.
