Signal Boost: Enchanted Conversation

Feb 18, 2011 21:29

Enchanted Conversation is a quarterly online fairytale webzine. I've been meaning to give them a signal boost before this (after all, they published one of my stories last year: The Mermaid's Eldest Sister, which has just been reprinted by Expanded Horizon.) They have an interesting concept: Each issue is themed to a different fairy tale. The 20 March 2011 one will be Rumpelstiltskin.

They now have a new website, FairyTaleMagazine.com, and are offering 10 cents a word for stories of upto 1500 words. They accept somewhat longer stories, but prefer this word limit. Here are their submission guidelines. (They have a tiny submission window: three days.)

And -- if you see this soon and react really quickly (in the next few hours) they offer a chance to win an Amazon electronic certificate for $25 for a signal boost. Details here.

I have to say I love their new website. It looks like an old book, with delightful fairy tale pictures. Take a look!
