Caitlin and I have a theory about boys.
Sometime's it's the right boy but the timing is off.
Like when you like eachother but not at the same time.
Or when he changes his mind but it's too late you already moved on.
Or when there's chemistry but not enough time to see what happens.
Even with age: if he's older than you, he's off to college first; possibly now.
If you're older, you leave him behind.
Sometimes you can work things out with distance and time but is it worth it?
Do you just forget about it and wait until someone's wedding ten years from now where you are re-introuduced to the son-of-your-mom's-old-coworker? =p
How do we know?
We don't. So we take risks.
I like risks.
I take risks.
But, sometimes you have to live with the consequences.
Sometimes you lose friendships that make the risk seem worthless in comparison.
I know this though...
I would much rather preserve a friendship than jump in to a relationship too soon.
It took me a while to learn that ;) but I did.
