halfway done... CAN I GO HOME NOW?!
So I'm happy to finally update with the info that I'm over the half way point of deployment. Only two months and two weeks to go before I'm back in San Diego! Better then that, In a little over a month after getting back I'M OUT OF THE NAVY! The not so great news, they don't have the next set of leaving school dates so as is goes right now it looks like I'll be pushing my separating date right to the very end and get no time for leave what so every. I'm okay with this cause I can sell my remain leave days back for an extra pay check and I'll be going home right in time to see Dark Knight Rises with Pandora. Wont be able to make comic con though as wont have the money.
Speaking of money, saving up nicely from this deployment. Will need it for when Pandora and I get our own apartment. Other than that looking to get a good laptop. and by good I mean reasonable price for net surfing and writing. Going to look into getting a hand gun too. A H&K USP .45 to be exact. Good for home defense and stress. And I can get a light attachment for use at night if someone is stupid enough to break in. We'll see. Shotgun after that cause why wouldn't I in Texas? Either that or a separate hand gun for Pandora once she figures out what she wants.
And last but not least I have to vent some steam. About what you say? Why about the California boy's natural enemy, the Jersey boy. Now I try to get along with most people, I really do but this one Jersey kid I swear he is one fuck up away from having a five man beat down party. What did he do to warrant such hate from his fellow co-workers? I'm so glad you asked.
To catch you up to speed said Jersey boy first off wont shut the fuck up about Jersey. I got nothing against Jersey in particular except for the Jersey shore. Meaning the actual place and that god awful show on MTV. In fact two of my favorite web comic writers/artist are from Jersey. Hoping to meet them both someday, but I digress.
This kid has never worked a hard day's work in his life for a pay check. He proudly admits to this. Now when you are saying this to a group of people that have worked two jobs at once, been homeless, and or tried to go through college without student aid you are going to piss some people off. For the record I've been only one of those things but this reflects our group as a whole. Worse still is we keep telling him that the most experienced people are leaving very soon at almost the same time so he needs to get his shit together so he can take over jobs. What does he do instead? He fucks around and tries to chase every piece of tail he things is hot on the damn ship.
Eventually our chief got sick of it and sent him to another department for temp duties, aka Bitch work. This didn't help as he got sent back and still being stupid chasing tail. So he was sent to more temp duties, this time janitor bitch work. Pretty much fixing doors and mundane stuff no one wants to do but has to be done. We warned him this shit would keep him busy so what does he do? He gets caught in our shop watching TV with one of his potential booty calls after lunch during normal work hours. I didn't find out about this till well after the fact cause our chief was the one that found him.
The punishment for this? My division now can not be in our own shop unless its to get parts or do quick work then leave until after working hours and we have to check in with our chief every normal working day right after lunch is over. The fucked up thing about this though. The fucking Jersey Boy doesn't have to do any of this cause he is still working temp duties outside our division. How the fuck does that make any god damn sense? He fucks up but everyone else has to take the hit and he doesn't even feel any of the sting? Needless to say he is banned from our shop till further notice and none of his shit is in there anymore.
Okay I feel better letting all that shit off my chest. I just have to deal with a few more months. Going to get some down time next port cause I haven't gotten off this boat at all in the last three months except to buy tooth paste and a bath poof. Hopefully my next update will be a bit more cheerful. till then laters.
