Stefan attempts an art project

A couple of years ago, I got back into collecting baseball cards after having previously abandoned the hobby in high school. Now, one of the side effects of buying tons of packs of cards (aside from, obviously, the eye rolls and declarations of "You are such a gigantic nerd" from one's wife whenever one returns from Walmart with another load of them) is that one tends to end up with huge stacks of duplicates en route to building a complete set. So what to do with all of the extras?

Well, obviously, you get a poster board, a glue stick, a pair of scissors, and make yourself a big old collage!

And the whole thing....

The whole thing took around eight or nine months of off-and-on futzing. It measures about 22 by 34 inches and consists of about 450 or so cards from the 2009 through 2011 Topps sets.

I've lobbied for a central display in the main foyer, but I have been informed that I'm only allowed to hang it in the basement.

OK, so Toki is probably right about the gigantic nerd part...but I think it's kind of neat.
