orz I fail and read that it was morningdragonayaJune 11 2010, 21:06:43 UTC
Aya was still up, wearing her usual fighting uniform since it was what she felt most comfortable with. She was over her boat, looking around, sighing sadly at how much of it got destroyed. She looked outside, now sunny and hot, much different from that time. She’d think a bit more about if, if something didn’t catch her attention.
She blinked, feeling a presence, and moved to the lower level, to the dojo, finding Roxas training with a wooden sword.
Aya's voice makes him freeze and he almost drops the sword right there and runs away. But he turns around, a guilty look in his eyes as he smiles warily back at her.
"O-oh, right...See ya later," he mumbles back while his gaze drifts down to the floor.
"Uhhhh...Yeah. Just practicing." He turns around again to aim a few more strikes. They're sloppy. Unfocused. His grip clenches and unclenches uneasily- Why? Was he really that nervous?
Aya stays, looking at the other for a moment, observing his movements. She could read him, even without having her Dragon's eyes active "Roxas-san. You can talk to me, if you wish."
There's a long pause of silence as Roxas stops swinging the sword. A sigh escapes him and he shakes his head before pointing towards the other practice swords.
"Alright...Just grab one," he replies quietly as he turns towards her again with the sword pointed at her as a challenge.
Aya smiled, placing her katana down and grabbing a wooden sword. She made it clash lightly against Roxas' weapon, as to let him know she accepted the challenge.
He nods a little at the tap before stepping back and moving to find a place to strike. "I was thinking..." His steps are slow and calculating. "...About all the time I've been on the Dojo." Aiming for her shoulder he rushes forward quickly to aim a strike.
Aya quickly moves her sword, protecting her shoulder and not letting Roxas hit. She forces her sword front, to shove the other's away, as she gave a step to the side. "Oh? And what's on your mind?" she stepped front, swinging front, aiming to hit him at the side of his body.
As his sword is shoved away, Roxas takes a step back once and then twice as Aya moves forward. He makes just enough room between them to block her attack and then puts his own pressure behind his weapon to push the two swords towards her. "Does anyone else realize I've been on the ship with you guys?"
"Eh?" Aya let's her body swing to the side to avoid the hit, again moving the sword to clash against the other and apply pressure "I think so? You've been with us for a while now" she smiles "Though, the rest of the crew realizes, of course. I do as well. And Lala."
"I know, but...I think everyone else thinks I'm still running around," Roxas replies as he pushes back again before taking a few steps backwards out of reach.
"I mean, I know you guys know I'm with you, but I don't think I really...fit in." His sword lowers a little as he remembers watching the people from the clock tower in Twilight Town. He was always watching, always wishing...Wishing he could be like them. Maybe it was the same exact thing on the Grand Line.
Aya stops, looking at Roxas. She smiles "Roxas-san. No one ever feels like they fit. Because we are all so different, it's as if we are all alone. But in the end, it's not a matter of fitting in." she lowers the sword. "But in the end we all want the same, right? To be happy. To have friends, to love and be loved. Don't you already have that?"
"Yeah...you're right," Roxas replies as he hangs his head a little. It still bothers him; he's a Nobody. There must be some invisible line, a limit on everything just because he doesn't have a heart. "I do have all that, it's just-..." Another sigh. "Never mind. I guess I was just bothered by what Gokudera said."
"Gokudera-san is very... nervous. You know he tends to be rude and say mean things, but.... he did rush to help us." She approaches Roxas, smiling "Roxas-san. We are all very glad you are here. And we do love your company and your friendship."
Roxas finally looks up again, meeting Aya with a sad smile and a dry laugh. "I'm glad someone wants me around...I don't know what I'll do if all the Dusks start calling me a traitor." His eyes widen for a moment before he laughs again. So what if Aya knew. She probably had every right to if something happened to the crew because of him.
She blinked, feeling a presence, and moved to the lower level, to the dojo, finding Roxas training with a wooden sword.
“Ah, Roxas-san! Good night!” she smiled wide.
