you might have seen a good girl cry
the sobbing type that weep
you might have even wiped her eye
and laid your arm around her shoulder
she'll use a tissue and wipe her nose
and you look at her with pity
you calm her fears and dismiss her woes
and you turn her sorrow into a smile
no matter the number you have seen
cry thier tears and sob in your arms
you know tomorrow will be clean
of all the pain you both know
but you have never seen the girl
that touches your heart with her tear
with pain no man can take in irl
because of the way she crys
you know you are the cause of her pain
when she looks at you and says
that everythings okay
then you look into her eyes
glassy and wet they fill with sorrow
yet not a single tear falls
her face is blank and her smile is gone
and she tries to blink away the shame
then without a move or sound
she closes her eyes and when they open
a shimmering pearl falls down her cheek
and slowly carresses her face and chin
the line of salted holy water
leaves a trail your eye follows
and with everything you have
you try not to let it hurt you
the tear itself burning at your soul
as if the very drop is cutting into your skin
anguish welling in your throat
but no comforting words come to save you
you see her hurting and
know not how to wipe it away
because you know you are the cause
and nothing will make it better
you want to go invisible
and turn away your face
to hide your guilt and regret
while she sits across and stares
with dignity she wipes her cheek
and stands to walk away
you want to stop her and tell her
that she has crushed your heart
tomorrow she will be fine
and the stain of the tear is faded
but she'll never know how she penetrated
your soul and left your heart soiled
that her sacred teardrop has changed your life
and now nothing will ever be the same
and no matter how many girls you see cry
her image will stay with you forever
