Dinner in the Candlelight:
sitting at the table for a latenight dinner
you at the other end, across from me
smiling as if you knew a secret that i didnt
when i ask what it is you tell me
you think i'm more than you could ever wish for
i wish that forever could be lengthened
i so could spend eternity with you
the candles flicker in the dark
you say lets take a walk in the moonlight
hand in hand we take our time
and waltz along the empty streets
then slip into the secluded woods
and you change my mind about everything
lost in your world i never want to go back
you tell me that i'll never need to
lets run away and live each day
spontaneously and free
as good as it sounds we chose reality for now
so with wild steps we trace our way home
and sit once again in the candlelight
the music plays, we start to sway
lost in your arms i melt into you
back again from daydreaming looking at your smile
your smile takes me places i never dreampt of
i try to wake up then i realize that im there
what happened to rules of reality
everytime i see you they go out the window
all this happens sitting across from you
looking into your eyes i see impossible things
your presence makes me forget where i am
and your touch makes me forget that
you are anything but perfectly divine
we finish up dinner and blow out the candles
now its time for dessert
