Back to School BLues
another week of school
following a dinky break
still good all the same
now its back to reality
back to the cramped classrooms
the homework, the tests, the projects
back to the long hours of "learning"
of day-dreaming and boredom
to packed lunches, eaten outside
to the ringing of bells and the
switching of classes
to practice and late dinners
to less social time and forced academics
to drama and laughing and note passing
another countdown to when summer
will free us from this prison
i've got the back to school blues
and i can't shake the feeling of wasted time
all of us at school
day-in and day-out
all for what?
useless facts we'll never use
and are bound to forget?
classes that are pointless considering
what we'll be
days drag on when all you do it sit
and hear word after word of things
that you will never benefit from
thats all for now- didn't mean to sound depressing
