Since I have been a fan of horse racing I have dreaded when the day would come when I would feel the way I do. I wasn't able to watch the Preakness live because I was celebrating my mother's birthday with my family so while we were out my dad let me run into OTB to find out if Barbaro had won. Afer quickly finding the results I noticed right away

This is really upsetting. what happened exactly I don't understand.. Like he got injured while training? Well I hope he's ok and feel better yourself. :(

Thanks Monica. It happened in the actual race. They were a couple hundred yards from the gate and he took a bad step and broke his right hind leg in three places. The surgeon said the operation went as well as it could have so he's doing better then he was 36 hours ago.

disregard my text message, i sent it at the same time i wrote the previous comment and it just said the same thing. i just feel bad for barbaro. we had like a connection him having a spanish word as a name and all... I'll keep myself updated on it i think.. u know through the ::shudder:: news and stuff. i can look him up periodically.
