Weekly Recs 6/3/12
This week's issue is a bit short in number of recs, but long in the length of the stories themselves with a couple epics.
Completed Stories:

"A Woman Like You" by madame.alexandra

Summary: Back when they were just starting out, she asked him if he'd have more fun as a bachelor
KEW note: Picture me doodling Gibbs + Shannon 4ever inside a heart, 12-year-old girl style. This is such a sweet story.
"Between Kisses and Covers" by LovelyLivy
[M, Tony/Ziva, ~1,000 words]
Summary: Barcelona is hot, and holy water would do nothing for the filthy things he liked to whisper in her ear.
KEW note: I like the note of danger in this.
"Echoes of Goodbye" by Emerald1
[T, McGee, Fornell, ensemble, casefile, ~63,000 words]
Summary: When tragedy strikes and an agent is unable to turn to his team, he turns to the one other person he trusts to help him.
KEW note: Nice, almost apocalyptic casefile featuring the unusual leading duo of McGee and Fornell.
"A Tiny Fragment" by ami_ven
[K, Abby, Ducky, 100 words]
Summary: Abby held the specimen jar up to the light…
KEW note: Even though there's not a lot to this story, I think it captures Abby's character perfectly.
"Just Once More" by Enthusiastic Fish
[T, McGee, ~75,000 words]
Quote: "I have to...I really have to," he whispered to his apartment. "Just one more time." It would be the last time.
KEW note: More McGee! This story is a bit more serious, but despite the AU-ish scenario it works well.

"Roses Have Thorns" by jrrm64 *NEW
[T, Tony, ensemble, Liat, Tony/Ziva, casefile]
Summary: After Somalia Ziva is broken and has focused all that has gone wrong on Tony. In order to help Ziva through this difficult time Gibbs backs a promotion and transfer for Tony. That's the starting point.
KEW note: This author appears to have improved since he or she appeared on the "Guilty Pleasures" recs list. This is a good case fic with an interesting location--Singapore.
"A Question of Honor" by NuthatchXi *UPDATED

Summary: Detective Tony DiNozzo has a rule-no undercover work. But when a friend is murdered, he can no longer refuse. When Agent Gibbs notices a pattern in a rash of murders, his gut starts both men down a path that will change them forever.

Summary: As the dust settles and the body count rises, the hunt for a madman reaches a new level of intensity.

Summary: "You can still swim, can't you? You're going to have to tow her in, DiNozzo. We aren't going to let her just tread water."

Summary: Jenny Shepard thought a 'Dear John' letter in Paris would put a clean cut end to their affair; however, neither she nor Leroy Jethro Gibbs could sever their ties in the wake of this unexpected, and unplanned, circumstances.

[M, Tony/McGee/OFC, Tony/McGee]
Summary: Tim is tired of being in love with Abby, so he goes to Tony for help in getting over her. Tony's solution is not what either of them expects. Along the journey, Tim finds his place with the team.
"A Matter of Truth" by luminosity45

Summary: Gibbs has never had to take a polygraph for a reason, now, the new SecNav wants to change that.
