1) I didn't forget to respond to your previous comment; I was just waiting until I had a chance to go back and take pictures. See my Flickr and look for a set called "For Kevin" and you will see the glorious mess that is a forgotten shelf of Neo-Geo cartridges in the back warehouse of our office. Stumbling upon something like that is actually more common than you would think, given that I work for a company that operates in coin-op games. We have a warehouse full of jukeboxes, pool tables, dart boards, pinballs, and other miscellaneous video game cabinets, as well as shelves and shelves full of little random bits needed for upkeep of such equipment. This is just one of those shelves full of random cartridges for a Neo-Geo MVS cabinet. I'm not even sure if we still have an MVS out there at a location anywhere, but we tend to almost never throw anything away.
Go on - admit you're so jealous of me now. :P
2) Do you shop for groceries and stuff where they take Visa debit cards? I assume so, but thought I'd check. My company gave both David & me $20 gift cards for the mall in this area, but they are just regular Visa debit cards with the mall's logo and can be used pretty much anywhere. Send me an email with your mailing address and I'll pass them along with an Xmas card. :)
1) I am indeed very jealous! I saw the pictures as you uploaded them last night (I happened to be updating my flickr photostream at the same time) and made many comments. "Shelves and shelves full of random bits," eh? Now I wish I could remember exactly what part had gone wrong in my Terra Cresta machine, because I bet you've got one there somewhere. I still do plan on someday turning it back into the Donkey Kong it once was (it's an actual Nintendo cabinet)... sigh, a man can dream, can't he?
We have rows upon rows of shelves of miscellaneous repair parts for hundreds of types of games in the warehouse here, and just as much if not more in the warehouse at the main office. If you ever do figure out what part you need, let me know and I can check to see if we have it. Even if we don't, we can probably order it for pretty cheap. :)
