I like how this journal has become more a resource for reflection than an account of events. I don't post as often as I'd like, mainly because interesting things just don't happen in the mundane routine of working life. Due to ever-changing shifts at work and the overarching lack of funds, I find it difficult to plans anything in advance. I go to Spiders much less (usually just payday weekend), so not much happens worth writing about. This also contributes to the relationship factor in my previous posts - and it's quickly getting on for 8 years of single-dom, sigh.
I've gone out more this month and met new people but, although it started out well, the adventures tapered off as the money ran out; quite steeply. Payday is a week tomorrow, the pot is empty and now is the time I decide that I'm really bored and need to get out of the house. Is there anything to do tonight? Sure but it costs money and the lack of buses on a Sunday means that going to see friends is restricted.
Knowing me, this journal will probably be flooded with posts about the new guy if/when there is one. Until then, it's back to obscurity and seldom happenings.
