Living in this polytheistic island I guess it's only natural that one should have notions of karma despite being Christian - the idea that things should come round and bite one worthy of it in the arse, the English concept of just desserts, and the Chinese cry of huo gai! is just too tempting a notion on certain occasions to dismiss the existence of (and I should admit I've invoked it as justification for throwing popcorn at the heads of certain idiots who talk in cinemas) - but this time, karma has struck in the most painful of places, the heart of all operations, my computer. After a heartwrenching 3.5 weeks (instead of the fortnight promised) it has returned, only to behave just as before - hanging every other minute, producing black boxes where .jpegs ought to be; frustrating at the very least, though the point of aggravation I now sit at is closer to "hair-tearing, breast-beating and teeth-gnashing", very, in fact a la Old Testament when Israelites get dumped out of wherever they're living for the nth time.
So it's yet another trip down to the Square with the ridiculous carpark charges. All this trouble began after I teased a friend about her desktop being slow. Slow! If only that was all that plagued me now!
