Reviews Continued

Two more games to add:

- Red Steel: Not bad. The controls felt kind of awkward here and there, and there were often overuse of motion controls just because. Probably a side-effect of being one of the very first Wii games. I expect it can only get better. An impressive first effort.

- Pokémon Battle Revolution: This game is a smooth mix of "awesome" and "what the fuck were they thinking". I just... don't know where to begin. A lot of the spell effects are breathtaking. And then some are boring and uninspired. The character models range drastically. As a general rule of thumb, DP 'mons look fantastic. Some RBY 'mons are slightly polished. GSC and RSE 'mons look fucking hideous. Stadium 2 got away with porting graphics. Colisseum... well, it was still get-away-with-able, a little. This is unexcusable. WHY DOES PACHIRISU HAVE A CLEANER MODEL THAN CHARIZARD. WTF. Also, why are pokémon still using digitized cries? This is 2007 Nintendo, FFS. A good note, I do enjoy the implimentation of the trainers. They're cute and the customization seems like it could keep me busy for days. But, there's no desire to do that. Battling is boring, tedious and uninteresting. There are a few nice pieces, but overall this was just a quick cash-in for Nintendo.

My friend is also bringing Metroid Prime 3 when he comes back tonight, and maybe other goodies. So I'm sure there will be a part 3 of my awesome reviews.
