17) People who use the word "Orientated" or "Orientating." These are versions of a root word that does not exist. If I am in a forest with a compass and a map, I am not going to try and orientate myself, because I will, without a doubt, remain lost, and unsure of my position with regard to any longitude or latitude. I will, however, with any of the cub scout training I can muster, attempt to oriente myself. Orienting is a perfectly acceptable practice, whether in a big city or out in the woods. When you are lost, there is probably no greater feeling than that of being properly oriented. Anyone who claims that they were, have been, are, or will be orientated or orientating something, will end up tired and confused, not to mention, still lost.
