Pt Loma's race:
We ran the 4x800, the first race of the day. Supposedly, pt loma had been talking the race up like they were going to beat us or something. I love going into a race with a target on our backs! We ran 7:37 for the win. The worst part about pt loma is that if you run one of the last two legs, you will mist likely be running by yourself because there is no competition. The wind comes off that beach like no other. Even though we didn't feel our best, we still ran a solid early season time. Last year we ran 7:47 here and ended up running 7:26 at the nationals meet. So we are in good shape. I did the 3,000 also. It was my annual deathmarch. I would have liked to run a lot faster, but what can I say, I wasn't there mentally and I died. Its all good though, it is over! Went down to the beach after, it was so peaceful. I wish I could have stayed longer.
