Bathroom Bum
today i was in my spanish class and we were studying irregular verbs. one of them happened to mean "to go" as in "to go to the bathroom". this reminded me that i had to go to the bathroom.
i went to the bathroom, and low and behold there was a black man in his mid 40's shaving his head. the faucets were on and he was singing an incomprehensible tune. strewn across the floor were three crumpled grocery bags filled with probably all his possesions. i went to the urinal and peed, then washed my hands.
bum said, "man, this is a job."
i asked him what he said, since bums can't speak clearly.
he repeated, "this is a j-o-b."
i told him how i never shaved my head before and told him to have a good day. he replied with a simple "alright".
after class jeff had to pee, so i told him about the bathroom bum. we decided to go out of our way to see if the bum was still there, and to my surprise he still was. Only now he was shirtless and soaping himself with the auto-foaming soap, still singing of course.
jeff and i laughed an incredible amount because bums are funny.
jeff smiled at a student coming in the bathroom, expecting him to think it was funny as well, but the student was scared shitless.
