I remember seeing this on MTV and thinking "Oh, he's gay." I'm sure that's what made me like it so much. This song is STILL the jam, as was his follow-up single Telephone Operator.

I remember running out to buy this the moment I saw it on MTV! Ah...the classic venetian blinds and green screen shot. And I always thought Pete looked a bit like Andy Williams. :)

It never occurred to me, but yeah... he does kind of look like Andy Williams!!! Funny!!

The first time I saw the video, I called the little record store in my town and special ordered it.

I probably watched way more MTV than anyone did... more than Martha Quinn, Alan Hunter, Mark Goodman, JJ Jackson, and Nina Blackwood put together. It's why I'm the incredible individual that I am today. :-)

now this is one song that I as yet have not come aqcross at work yet...have been looking for it cos it was a favourite of mine too...he kinda reminded me of a newer version of Gary Numan at the time.
