(no subject)
So I guess it's all official done and over with. Graduation and such. Last finals done; grades in. Well, almost. Hack hasn't posted yet. And I have an F in a course I didn't even take, but my advisor and I are already starting the fight against that. (It would figure I would have to battle the completely inept Records and Registration office one more time).
Home for the Christmas holidays with these lunatics. Atticus couldn't join me because one is "deathly" allergic and the other one isn't as allergic but likes "to kick cats." (wtf?) I almost stayed in New Paltz and almost wished I had. Seriously a boring holiday with the usual superfluity. Is that even a friggin word? Already a week out of school and making up crap.
Got cash for the X-Mas. Also got 10 DVDs, including the new Family Guy Vol. 3 release. Also got Inherit the Wind, Midnight Cowboy, In the Heat of the Night, Enemy at the Gates, The Grapes of Wrath, The Naked Gun, The Naked Gun 2 1/2, The Talented Mr. Ripley and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the original 1956 classic). I just can't seem to find the Stewie Griffin movie anywhere. Also trying to get Vertigo and The Third Man on DVD, but they are ridiculously hard to find in any of the stores. I will probably have to wait until I go to NYC again, or just order them online.
In other news, my parents went to Florence and never told me. Seething with jealousy over that. Of course they don't have the similar appreciation that I have, but whatever. I want to get some traveling done. Thankfully I have none of the George Bailey ties that bind, so I think I'll probably be able to get around for a bit.
Just really enjoy my independence. I realized this weekend more than ever why I don't want to move home. It's great to visit for money and supplies, like an oasis on a trading route, but for permanent residency? No thank you. Seriously. I really really like not living at home.
Now it's a matter of sorting out the life situation. New Paltz until May. Need money for rent and other such fun times. Plus a job. That's one of the big things.
