then:
jen goes out with beau.
christina goes out with scott.
jen and christina are good pals.
beau and scott are good pals.

suddenly:
scott spontaneously decides that he likes jen.
scott horribly upsets our whole balance.

now:
jen is upset because she thinks christina is mad at her.
beau wants to kill scott.
jen doesnt want boys to fight over her.
everyone is sad.

but:
jen and beau are still happily together!

and:
hopefully dumb scott will stop being so dumb one day.

unfortunately:
no one knows why he does such dumb things, therefore he has little chance of smartening up.
