Well, Obnoxious Coworker is long gone. Yay! Of course, the reason he was let go is the elephant in the room...
The manager is... not doing well. What was thought to be a serious case of anemia turned out to be a serious case of internal bleeding. That turned out to be a serious case of cancer. They were able to find and remove *dozens* of tumors, and drained over three *gallons* of fluid. Her lady parts were removed, and one kidney is next to go, but given the trauma they already put her through, it wasn't safe to remove it then.
Needless to say, she's not gonna be at work for a while, and that's without assuming the worst.
So, the owners have brought someone else in. I think she may be related to them, but then I'm just saying that because she's Indian as well. In any case, she's going to be learning the ropes for a bit, obviously, but if she's manager, then our formerly laid-back and relaxed place of employment may become considerably less so. Still, we can probably use some discipline - things have gotten a bit out of hand. I just find it ironic that the one thing that Obnoxious Coworker ranted and screamed about the most is likely to be solved by him being gone.
