Someone I knew in high school wrote this poem and I think it is absolutely splendid:
reverse me; much appreciated
thank you for letting me never forget
that this sacred part of me
still belongs to you
and always will.
rewind me; taste of who i really am
the sweetest feeling
of joyous rejuvenation
of clarity...
and peace...
just as i begin to forget
you tap my shoulder
i turn around
and there i find myself again.
like the best medication available
i enjoy the break
from my daily world
for a dose of your presence in me.
