I've been accorded a special honor (I think). Lt. Masters has pulled me from "The Pit" as we call it down in Engineering and I'm going to start training to take over care of the Warp Core. I'm pretty excited about it.
Things are still tough...my mother isn't doing so well and her CO may have to issue a mandatory stand-down. I sent her a message, telling her to take a few days off and see a counselor...but I feel pretty hypocritical saying that when I haven't even done that myself. I don't know. I really don't want to think about it just yet but I also know the longer I put it off, the worse it's going to be when it all finally DOES hit.
I'm getting to know some people here, so it's starting to feel more like home. I think I might take over the Rec Room one night and play my guitar. We'll see how things progress.
