Urban Dead is a quirky MMORPG set during a zombie apocalypse. It's based on text and very primitive graphics that are practically just text themselves. Levelling up is slow going, at least at first, and you're limited in how much you can do in a day, but I find it oddly addictive and, importantly, free.
